In need of a graphic identity for the release of the remastered works of 20 of the most important artists in classical music, EMI solicited ideas from students at the Polytechnic Design School of Milan. The above work juxtaposes the artistic expression of classical music with the contemporary technology of the remasterization process. The result is a graphic image that focuses on the sequencing and repetition of organic objects creating a series of dynamic grids or networks. Each CD cover has its own particular design but is also a part of a common graphic identity shared by the twenty pieces.
Workshop: Graphic identity with Daniele Barbiero | Milano, Italia.
The project was developed with other designers, Andrea Corradi and Rossella Tricarico.
